Britcar, Silverstone – May 2018
Oli was sharing the Porscheshop prepared 997 RSR with the car owner Ian Heward, after a difficult test day with limited running and nearly missing qualifying, the pair managed to get their minimum qualifying laps in, but qualified a disappointing 27th out of 36 on the grid.
Race 1 – Oli started the race, drove very professionally and picked up places every lap, handing over to Ian in 15th position at the pitstop and driver change, Oli & Ian went on to finish 17th overall, but 4th in Class.
Race 2 – Oli again started the race 2 from 17th position and put in some stunning and consistent lap times to move the pair up to 10th position overall and 2nd in Class. Handing over to Ian during heavy rainfall, behind the safety car, when the race eventually got going again, Ian put in some very fast laps, overtaking a number of cars to eventually finish a very impressing 4th overall and 2nd in Class 2.
