Round 2 of the MINI Challenge Clubsport at Thruxton witnessed a standout performance from Willmott, who delivered a clean sweep by taking victory in all three races. Despite dropping back at the start in each outing, Willmott demonstrated impressive racecraft and determination, battling through the field to claim top honours in some of the weekend’s most competitive on-track action.
Races 1 and 2, run in dry conditions, were marked by intense, wheel-to-wheel battles. Willmott remained composed under pressure, navigating close competition to secure back-to-back wins. The final race of the weekend presented a new challenge, as rain swept across the circuit. Unfazed by the changing conditions, Willmott showed precise control and consistent pace to complete a dominant hat-trick.
Adding three wins at Thruxton to an already strong start to the season, Willmott now carries significant momentum into Round 3 at Brands Hatch.
